The title “Today and Tomorrow” has three important elements:
1. Youngsters today and tomorrow: (un)employment, mobility and opportunities
2. Energy today and tomorrow: solutions and consequences
3. Human rights in Europe now and in the future (democracy, women, minorities etc)
PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
1. Environment today, environment tomorrow
Students develop plans to transform their school into an ecological building. Products: reports, presentations, video or films,
exhibitions, present results at websites or booklets
2. Energy today, energy tomorrow
Students write scenarios, make presentations, visits to different plants, sources of energy during exchanges.
3. Climate today, climate tomorrow
Students write scenarios, make presentations, visits to different plants, sources of energy during exchanges. Students will
measure temperature, rain, send each other information, make graphs. Products: see 1
4. Employment today, employment tomorrow
Students make presentations of the development in each country, discuss with each other, discuss reasons for the
development, possible solutions, consequences. Products: see 1
5. Mobility today, mobility tomorrow
Students make presentations of the development in each country, discuss with each other, discuss reasons for mobility and
possible consequences. Products: see 1
6. Short story competition
Students write short stories connected with the title: Today and Tomorrow
Best short stories and essays will be printed (a booklet) and perhaps dramatized and performed during exchange-weeks (Session
Night Live)
7. Literature
The students read the same poems, short stories connected with youngsters, energy today and tomorrow, human
rights in Europe. Workshops and discussions about this literature during our exchange-weeks
8. Artistic/creative
Performances for all students (dance, drawing, modelling, music, dramatizing) during exchange-weeks by students involved,
exhibitions, stimulate creative writing by writing-contests
9. Our social lives today, our social lives tomorrow
Presentations (country´s history, traditions, famous citizens, folklore), films, Europe day, DVD, singing, dancing, powerpoint-
presentations, exhibitions
10.Europe today, Europe tomorrow
Students make presentations of this dimension in each country today, discuss democracy and democratic values in the
future, nationalistic values vs international, minorities and minority problems, etc. Scenarios are also possible. Products: reports,
presentations, interviews, video or films, exhibitions, present results at websites or booklets.
